Amish Barn. Traditional proportions built for serious loads.
4' sidewalls with a gambrel roofline that peaks well over 7 feet at center, so the headroom lives up top where you need it. Wide double doors and a footprint that scales up to 12×32. Built for large equipment, farm use, and anything that needs real space and real structure.
A barn footprint. Amish construction underneath.
The barn's gambrel roofline pulls real interior volume out of 4' sidewalls, with the peak reaching well over 7 feet at center. All 8' wide buildings come with a 4' door; all 10' and wider get standard 6' double doors, because barn use demands wide access for equipment and supplies. The traditional gambrel shape handles Michigan snow loads the way it has for generations.
Available in LP SmartSide, metal, or vinyl, configured to order and delivered fully built on the mule (unless you need it built on site, we offer that too). The same pressure-treated framing and galvanized hardware as every building we make, scaled up for barn proportions and barn loads.

Wide double doors and the gambrel roofline's generous peak height handle tractors, ATVs, full-size trucks, and farm machinery that won't fit in a standard shed. The larger footprints give you room to park side-by-side and still walk around.
Farm Workshop
Full standing clearance through the center of the building where the gambrel peak provides generous overhead room. Mount a workbench along one wall, run electrical, hang tools on exposed framing. The barn footprint gives you the square footage to work seriously.
Feed & Supply
Feed, supplies, tools, fencing, and seasonal gear, organized in a building that's built to hold real weight. The pressure-treated framing handles Michigan humidity, and the wide double doors make loading and unloading practical.

How it gets to you.

Mule Delivery
Your building arrives on a trailer and is placed with our specialized Mule machine. It rolls across lawns with minimal turf disturbance, fits through tighter access than a full truck and trailer, and sets the building exactly where you want it.

Build On-Site
For sites where a pre-built delivery can't reach (wooded lots, no road access, or unusually tight spaces) our crew brings the workshop to you and builds your structure piece by piece on your property. Same materials, same craftsmanship.
Barn Questions
It comes down to use and the township. Barns on land that's actively farmed are often exempt from the usual rules, while a barn on a residential lot generally needs something. For residential builds, the common pattern is a zoning compliance permit up to 200 square feet and a building permit above that. Since it's all set locally, a quick call to your township settles it, and we can point you to the right office.
A level, well-drained spot is the main requirement. A compacted gravel pad of 4 to 6 inches is the usual base; concrete piers or a slab make sense for the larger sizes or a permanent working barn. The building comes on pressure-treated 4×6 skids, and keeping water from collecting underneath does more for its lifespan than the foundation type itself.
It depends on the size. A barn can come with a 3-foot entry door, a 36-inch entry door with a transom window, a 4-foot single door, or 6-foot double doors. We don't do sliding or overhead doors on the standard barn, the wide double doors give you the access you need for equipment and supplies. Tell us what's going in and out and we'll match the opening.
Yes. A licensed electrician handles the wiring after delivery, and the framing takes outlets, overhead lights, and dedicated circuits for equipment. For a working barn, most owners run at least one 20-amp circuit plus a lighting circuit, and budget somewhere around $1,500 to $3,500 depending on the run.
A custom barn usually takes about 3 to 4 weeks to build and deliver, or 5 to 6 in the peak summer season, with the largest sizes sometimes running a touch longer. We build in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan and deliver free across Southern Michigan and out to roughly 150 miles. In-stock barns at our Adrian or Carleton lots go out within a week or two.
Yes. Barns qualify for rent-to-own with no credit check, on 36 or 48-month terms, and you own the building at the end. It's a practical way to put a barn to work now and pay it down over time. Ask either location or start in the 3D builder.
