Warranty & Service

A Warranty Is Only as Good as the People Behind It

Homestead Barns has provided thousands of buildings over the years. The written workmanship warranty matters, but what matters more is whether the builder answers, looks at the issue, and does right by the customer.

Material Warranties

What Honored Means

Not a Bigger Number. A Better Way of Handling It.

A longer warranty can look better on paper. That does not help much if the company avoids the call, blames the customer first, or makes the process harder than the problem. Our confidence in Homestead comes from how they have treated customers over years of real buildings in real yards.

The builder is still in the picture

Homestead Barns is not a nameless supplier behind a label. These are the builders whose work we choose to represent, and we stay connected to them when a customer needs help.

The first step is a real conversation

If you contact us with a workmanship concern, we help understand what happened and put you directly in contact with Homestead Barns for the claim.

The goal is a fair fix

No warranty can promise that every issue is covered. The difference is whether the people involved look at the real situation and try to handle it fairly.

Warranty Questions, Answered

Who handles warranty claims?

Homestead Barns handles warranty claims for the buildings they build. Amish Outdoor Buildings helps you get connected with Homestead and shares the information they need to review the concern.

Is the workmanship warranty really one year?

Yes. New Homestead Barns buildings include one-year workmanship coverage from the documented purchase date. If you have a warranty question, start with us and we will help connect you with Homestead.

What does the workmanship warranty cover?

It covers defects in workmanship on new Homestead Barns products. Material defects are generally handled through the manufacturer warranty for that material.

Do used or repo buildings have the same warranty?

No. Repo and used buildings do not qualify for the Homestead workmanship warranty.

What about clearance buildings?

Clearance buildings are case by case. If warranty coverage matters to your decision, ask us about that specific building before you buy it.

What material warranties can I count on?

LP SmartSide has a 5/50 material warranty where LP SmartSide is used. We will guide you to Homestead to verify the current roof, metal, and vinyl warranty details because those can change depending on the materials and the material supplier over time.

What information should I have ready for a claim?

Have your proof of purchase, a description of the issue, a phone number where you can be reached, and photos if you can send them.
