Amish Barns
Amish-built barns give you serious room for tractors, livestock, hay, and equipment too big for an ordinary shed. The wider, taller footprint and gambrel roofline mean real headroom and floor space, with a full loft for overhead storage on the lofted models. Choose standard or lofted.
Our Barn Lineup
Both barn styles are built by Amish craftsmen in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan and delivered to your property. No assembly, no finishing (unless you need it built on site). It goes where you want it and you're done.

Barn
Traditional barn proportions with Amish construction. Built for heavy use A wider, taller footprint than a standard shed, designed for large equipment, farm use, or anything that needs serious space. The classic barn pitch handles Michigan snow and rain.
PopularLofted Barn
Ground-level working space with a full storage loft overhead The classic barn shape with a storage loft overhead. Main floor for equipment, loft for seasonal gear and overflow. Some use them for animals, most just for storage.
Real Barns. Real Land.
Three Materials.
Same Craftsmanship.
Every shed we build uses the same pressure-treated framing and galvanized hardware. What you're choosing is the exterior — each material has a different trade-off between aesthetics, maintenance, and longevity.

Metal
Longest lifespan29-gauge Galvalume-coated steel that won't rust or need painting for the life of the building.

40+ year service life, often the last siding material an owner will ever put on a building.

Vinyl
Zero maintenanceUV-resistant PVC panels that hold their color without painting or staining.

Regardless of which siding you choose, the structural framing is identical — pressure-treated 2×4 studs, galvanized hardware throughout, and aluminum drip edges on all exposed roof lines. The bones are the same on every building we make.
Not What You're Used To
Most of this industry runs the same playbook: gimmicky pricing, a weekend sale that was never really a sale, and emails that never get a reply. We wrote our own, built on honesty and integrity. And when we don't have the answer, we work to get you one.

Two Ways to Get Your Building

Mule Delivery
Our standard option. Your building is hand-built at the shop, loaded onto a truck, and placed on your site with our specialized Mule machine. The Mule fits through tight gates and around landscaping that most trucks can't, with minimal impact on your lawn.
- Standard for ~85% of customers
- Fits through gates and tricky access
- Placed and leveled professionally

Build On-Site
When your site can't accept a pre-built delivery, like wooded lots, no road access, or unusually tight spaces, our craftsmen bring the workshop to you and build your structure piece by piece. Adds a few weeks to the timeline.
- About 1 in 5 customers choose this option
- Built piece by piece on your property
- Same craftsmen, same materials

Questions About Barns
Our barns start around $2,280 for a compact 8×8, and the price you see is the price of the building. A popular 10×16 lofted barn runs around $5,130, with larger sizes climbing from there. See every size on our pricing page.
The loft. A lofted barn adds a built-in overhead storage area under its gambrel roof, giving you a second level for bins, seasonal gear, and lighter items. A regular barn keeps the same classic roofline and open floor without the loft. If you want maximum storage in the same footprint, the lofted barn wins.
For pure storage capacity, the lofted barn's gambrel roof and overhead loft give you more usable room in the same footprint. A utility shed is simpler and a bit easier to set up a workbench or walk around in. It comes down to whether you want vertical storage or open floor space.
Absolutely. Feed, tools, tack, fencing, supplies, and small equipment all store well in our barns, and the gambrel roof gives you extra overhead room. They're built with real framing and 3/4" flooring to hold up to daily use and Southern Michigan weather.
That's set by your township, city, or county, and it varies. The usual pattern is a zoning compliance permit up to 200 square feet and a building permit above that, but agricultural use can change the rules entirely, since barns on land that's actually farmed are often handled differently. Check with your local office before you build so you know which path applies to your property.
An in-stock barn from one of our locations usually arrives within 7 to 10 days, often sooner. A custom-built barn typically takes about 3 to 4 weeks, with summer peak season sometimes running 5 to 6 weeks. Our Mule delivery places it right where you want it.
