JMAG rent-to-own

Rent-to-own agreements are handled through JMAG, which publicly describes rent-to-own as a month-to-month rental agreement that can be bought out early. We help you choose the right building, then we walk through the agreement clearly with you.For the full Amish Outdoor Buildings breakdown, see rent-to-own details.

How Rent-to-Own Works

A simple, honest process

01

Select Your Style

Pick from our shed styles or customize your own in our 3D designer. The craftsmanship never changes based on how you pay.

02

First Payment

Get started with your first monthly payment. That first payment includes tax and delivery. No credit check, no security deposit.

03

We Install, You Organize

We deliver and level the building on your property. Use it as your own. After the final payment, the building is yours.

Same Monthly Cost.
One Path Leads to Ownership.

A 10x10 storage unit runs about $125 to $150 a month. A 10x12 Amish-built utility shed on rent-to-own is right around $150 to $160 a month. After 36 or 48 months, one of those can be yours.

The difference is $6 a month. One path gives you a building on your property that you own free and clear. The other gives you a monthly invoice forever.

Credit and Mortgage Questions

JMAG does not report to credit bureaus, and the agreement is not treated like a traditional loan. If you are actively applying for a mortgage, ask your lender how they want you to document any monthly obligation.

If you miss a payment, contact JMAG directly. They work with customers before any recovery action is considered.

If you are comparing rent-to-own with a mortgage application, read the credit and debt-to-income answer.

Want to explore traditional financing?

We advise working with local Michigan credit unions. If you have a solid credit history, traditional bank financing often offers the lowest interest rates available. We're happy to help provide the building specs your lenders need. Talk to us today.

FAQ

Questions About Rent To Own

Is there a credit check for Rent to Own in Michigan?

No. Our Rent to Own program does not require a credit check. We believe your past financial history shouldn’t stop you from having a high-quality building on your property today.

Can I pay off my shed early?

Absolutely. In fact, we encourage it. You can pay off the remaining balance at any time to save on rental fees. There are no early payoff penalties whatsoever.

What happens if I can’t make a payment?

If you miss a payment, contact JMAG directly. They work with customers before any recovery action is considered.

Are the sheds built differently for RTO?

No. Every Amish Outdoor Buildings structure is built to the same standard whether it is a cash purchase or a rent-to-own agreement.
