Amish-built lofted cabin in LP SmartSide with an entry door on a Michigan property

Amish Lofted Cabin. More function from the same footprint.

A full overhead storage loft built into the same cabin footprint. The main floor stays open for living or working; the loft up in the gambrel roof takes the gear, totes, and off-season stuff. No bigger footprint required.

The same cabin, with a full storage loft overhead.

The lofted cabin keeps the cabin you'd order anyway, the covered front porch, double doors, and windows on multiple sides, and adds a full storage loft tucked up in the gambrel roof. The loft is where the totes, holiday bins, camping gear, and off-season things live, so the main floor stays open for whatever you're actually using it for. It's the same footprint on the ground with a bonus level above.

The loft is framed to the same structural standard as the main floor and built into the gambrel roof overhead, sized to the cabin. The main floor keeps its full 6'6" clearance throughout. It arrives fully built, loft and porch included (unless you need it built on site, we offer that too).

Common Uses

How people use both floors.

Overhead Storage That Stays Out of the Way

Holiday bins, camping gear, off-season clothes, the totes that usually crowd a closet or the garage. The loft takes all of it up into the roof, so the floor you actually use stays clear. Many owners load it heavy in winter and clear it out in summer.

Guest Cabin With Room to Spare

Finish the main floor as the guest room, and let the loft hold the bedding, luggage racks, and seasonal extras so the space below stays uncluttered. It's a real guest cabin without giving up a single square foot to storage.

Office Below, Storage Above

A common setup: finish the main floor as a dedicated home office, and use the loft for files, seasonal bins, and gear that doesn't need daily reach. The loft keeps the floor plan clean without adding to the building's footprint.

Mule Delivery

Your building arrives on a trailer and is placed with our specialized Mule machine. It rolls across lawns with minimal turf disturbance, fits through tighter access than a full truck and trailer, and sets the building exactly where you want it.

Build On-Site

For sites where a pre-built delivery can't reach (wooded lots, no road access, or unusually tight spaces) our crew brings the workshop to you and builds your structure piece by piece on your property. Same materials, same craftsmanship.
