- At least 5 ft from side and rear lot lines for buildings in the rear yard, with a 5 ft separation between buildings. Lakeside-yard buildings have special limits (max 8 ft tall and 80 sq ft).
- Height & coverage
- Detached accessory buildings may not exceed 16 ft, and all buildings together can cover no more than 30% of the lot.

Larger or permanent structures can call for a concrete slab or a rat wall, a perimeter footing that keeps rodents out and meets code for a permanent foundation. Questions About Buildings in Portage
Most likely, yes. We deliver within about 150 miles of our Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan shops, which covers most of southern to lower-mid Michigan, Northwest Ohio, and Northeast Indiana.
