- Height & coverage
- Accessory buildings may occupy no more than 25% of a required rear yard plus 20% of any non-required rear yard. In R-1, R-2, R-3, R-M, B-1, B-2, B-3, and OS-1 districts, detached accessory buildings are limited to one story; the ordinance text states fourteen feet with a parenthetical 16 ft, so confirm the current official interpretation before publishing a numeric height.

We set most buildings on a level gravel pad, which is all the majority of sheds and garages need. Larger or permanent structures can call for a concrete slab or a rat wall, a perimeter footing that keeps rodents out and meets code for a permanent foundation.
