You're about to spend thousands of dollars on a building that's going to sit on your property for years. You should know exactly who you're buying from and exactly who's building it.
You've probably already noticed that not every company selling sheds online is easy to trust. Here's what to look for before you hand anyone your money.
Honestly? Some of the best portable building companies out there will never run a Super Bowl ad. That's just the industry. We're not on a billboard on I-94, and that's okay.
Fair concern. Nobody wants to sign a contract and then wonder what's rolling down their driveway in three weeks.
Everything. Seriously. Before any money changes hands, you should have a clear written agreement that covers what you're getting, what it costs, and when it shows up.
Absolutely. We keep well over 50 buildings on-site at our Adrian and Carleton, Michigan locations, 12 months of the year. Sheds, garages, cabins, barns. Walk through them, open the doors, check out the construction up close. Bring a tape measure if you want.
Reviews are a great starting point, but you have to know what you're looking at. We've been in this industry long enough to know that buying reviews is more common than people think. It happens all across the shed world.
Good questions to start with:
There are actually a few businesses across Southern Michigan that sell Amish-built portable buildings, so you've got options. We'd love for you to come check us out. We have two locations, one in Adrian and one in Carleton, with well over 50 buildings on display year-round. If you find something you love on the lot, it usually gets delivered within five to seven business days.
Come visit either of our lots. We keep well over 50 buildings on display at all times: sheds, garages, cabins, barns, and more. Walk through them, check the construction, take your time. No pressure. And if something on the lot catches your eye, delivery is usually just five to seven business days.
Nope. Plenty of our customers design their building online, submit it through our 3D designer, and we take it from there. We'll get back to you within 24 to 48 hours to continue the conversation and get your order across the finish line. Whether that happens over a phone call, email, or text is up to you. We like to meet people where they're at.
Absolutely. The 3D designer lets you configure your building start to finish: size, style, siding, color, doors, windows. Once you submit your design, we get back to you within 24 to 48 hours and pick up the conversation from there.
It's an online tool right on our website. You pick your building type, choose your size, then start customizing: siding style and color, roof color, door placement, windows, add-ons. You can rotate the building, zoom in, and get a clear picture of what you're putting together.
We deliver across all of Southern Michigan, Northwest Ohio, and Northern Indiana. In Michigan, that covers everything from Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Battle Creek on the west side to Lansing, Ann Arbor, Jackson, and the full Detroit metro in the center and east. On the Ohio side, we serve Toledo, Perrysburg, Sandusky, Napoleon, and surrounding communities. And we deliver into Northern Indiana as well.
We sure do. Even though we're based in Southeast Michigan with lots in Adrian and Carleton, we've proudly served Western Michigan communities for nearly a decade. Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Portage, Battle Creek, and plenty of towns in between have our buildings all over the region.
All day long. Detroit, Dearborn, Livonia, Canton, Westland, Sterling Heights, Warren, Downriver, you name it. Our Carleton location is right on the edge of the metro, just north of I-275 and south of Flat Rock, so for a lot of metro customers we're practically a local stop.
Definitely. In nearly a decade, we've delivered to over 360 different communities, cities, towns, and villages across Southern Michigan, Northwest Ohio, and Northeastern Indiana. On the Ohio side, that includes Toledo, Perrysburg, Sandusky, Bowling Green, Findlay, Defiance, and everywhere in between. In Indiana, we serve Angola, Shipshewana, Auburn, and surrounding areas.
Depends on what you're going for. If you find a building you love on one of our lots, delivery is usually just five to seven business days. If you want to design your own, where you get to pick your size, color, siding, doors, windows, all the details exactly the way you want them, plan on about three to four weeks. It goes by quicker than you'd think.
Our Carleton location is in Monroe County, just north of I-275 and south of Flat Rock. Easy to get to from pretty much anywhere in the southeastern Michigan area, and especially convenient if you're coming from the Detroit metro or Downriver.
A couple things. First, we're not going anywhere. We've been here for nearly a decade, we've delivered to over 360 communities across Southern Michigan, Northwest Ohio, and Northeastern Indiana, and our lots in Adrian and Carleton are open year-round. When you buy from a local company with a physical presence, you know where to find us if you ever need anything.
No. Many customers order without ever visiting, and we'll walk you through options, pricing, and delivery by phone or email. If you'd like to see buildings in person, you're always welcome at our Adrian or Carleton locations. Reach out anytime.
